A guide to 3D sensors - Overview of different typologies

Before processing a point clouds we need to acquire one. 3D scanners or 3D sensors are devices able to capture a scene and provide 3D data of it. We decided to sum up the most famous typologies of these devices. We hope that this little guide might help users with the tedious task of choosing the right device for the right job.
